We were recommended this hotel, as we had a sudden bereavement in Greece, and it was close to the Hospital. The facilities were excellent, we stayed in an apartment, which enabled us all to be together. It was very clean and well laid out with a double bedroom, two further single beds on a mezzanine level with kitchen and bathroom, which is ideal for a family. The reception area and conservatory were also nicely laid out and decorated. The two brothers that run the hotel, Grigoris and Nikos, went above their duty to help us, we were so thankful for their kindness and helpfulness at such a difficult time, We cannot thank them enough for their support. We would recommend this hotel for a family holiday as their was a lovely pool and plenty of space in communal areas, The location was beautiful with views of the sea.
I had booked a room for 3 persons, at the lowest price for Alexandroupolis. Instead, we had a first floor fully furnished suite. Sitting room, kitchen, masterbedroom with double bed and bathroom were on the entrance level and a wooden spiral staircase was leading onto the attic; the later, overlooking the sitting room, had two single beds.
Down, in front of the broad veranda was the swimming pool and then green fields and the sea till the horizon line. The Hotel is 6kms far from the city center and about 1km from the beaches.
We decided to take a quick driving trip to Greece, and were pleasantly surprised by the Hotel we stayed in. It was advertised as an “apartment room,” but having seen that before, were not that hopeful that this was a legitimate apartment room. But to our delight, our place was large, clean, and everything it was advertised to be. There is a good sized Fridge with a freezer, a cook-top and toaster oven, one bedroom with a double bed, and a loft with 2 additional single beds. The view off our patio to the Aegean Sea was amazing (when it wasn’t raining – this time of year is hit and miss). The Front Desk staff were extremely helpful with directing us to local attractions that were “worth our time,” and in telling us which ones were really a waste of time – This is something you don’t always get!!! It is located down a quiet country road, so you need to watch for the signs to make sure you don’t miss your turn. But once you get there, the staff make it very nice. There is also free parking right outside your door, so no worries about additional charges for that, and you can drive 10 minutes into the heart of Alexandroupoli and find shops and restaurants for all tastes.
